The Hong Kong Government announced the coming into force of the agreement for avoiding double taxation and prevention of income tax fiscal evasion with Romania.

The agreement was signed in November 2015 and after completing ratification procedures in Hong Kong and Romania, came into force on November 21 this year. It will be in effect with respect to income derived on January 1, 2017.
