Uruguay
This tiny Latin American country has always been known
for its political stability. In 2006, it performed a
deep fiscal reform similar to its neighbours Brazil,
Argentina, and Paraguay (all members of the Mercosur,
an incipient European Union). This fiscal reform took
place on the 1st of July of 2007 and mainly keeps the
same corporate taxation and introduces individual taxation.
It also continues taxing income that comes solely from
Uruguayan sources. From our point of view, this country
offers enough advantages to consider it as an ideal
country for developing activities in South America.
